March 2013
Our question last month was "What will the temperature be on Monday March 17, St. Patrick's Day? I never knew as I typed that question that we would indeed have a snow day on that very day! Since we only had one comment, the winner is Olivia's mom! A small prize will be sent home this week.
This has been one interesting winter! We are excited about warmer weather! Check out a few of the fun activities from March!
3D shapes
We learned about 3D shapes and did a shape sort!
Silly McGilly
Silly McGilly came to our school to visit before St. Patrick's Day! He sat in the window to let a real lephrecaun know that we wanted a visit. That leprechaun made all kinds of silly things happen in our room!
Silly McGilly arrives at Wilbur!
First, he turned over all of our chairs!
He also opened up all of our cabinets and lockers!
He put sparkly green glitter all over our carpets!
Look at the footprints!!! The leprechaun left us magic marbles in our sensory table.
The marbles got bigger and bigger every day!
The lepracheun used our geoboards and rubber bands to create the words I LOVE YOU!
On St. Patrick's Day, Silly McGilly decorated our room and left treats for each of us!
We had an exciting month in March but now it is all over! April will promise to be warmer and we will return to having outside recess. Please make sure that your child is wearing sneakers or closed toe shoes to school each day. If your child wears flip flops or open toe sandals, they will not be permitted to play on the playground and at gym. Thank you!
Our question for April has to do with Spring Break, which is April 18-April 27. There will be No School during this time. Comment on this post to answer the following question:
"What is Mrs. Williams' favorite Easter treat?" I'll give a hint: it is a candy! You can guess as many times as you would like. Encourage your child to ask me questions about my favorite candy! The person who guesses my favorite kind of candy will be the winner! Good luck!
